About Us

On April 11, 1859, Joseph Broadbent and his wife Sarah immigrated by ship
from England to America.  They journeyed across the plains in June and arrived
in the Salt Lake valley in September.  They came to live in Lehi, Utah where they purchased some land and built an adobe house.  That land is the same lot on which Broadbent's store began and where it still stands and conducts business today.

The store has grown and gone through transformation after transformation over the past 130 years.  Customers needs have been served over the years with
a wide variety of products.  We consider our customers our friends!

Today Broadbent & Son General Store is also the home of
Broadbent's Quilt Shop.

On September 1st, 2017 after 135 years of business, Boradbent's closed their doors for business.  This icon of the community will be greatly missed. A special thank you to our wonderful customers who have become our friends.  Thank you for your continued support over the years.  You were the best part of our business.
